I'm heading down with a friend to the Gap for something like friday may 19th to saturday may 26th. We will be staying at the Punkin Inn which is a great spot 20 min from the Gap and 20 min from town. The rooms are clean, cheap, and have two double beds each.

Just seeing if anyone is interested in riding together for some or all of the week. I will be booking a room for me and my friend, my trailer is spoken for. PM me for details. Cheers
 
Will be down there the 17-23 with a group of riders from here, staying 5 min from Punkin. We will hook up for a ride if ya like.

I know there are a few gtam groups that will be down there around the long weekend.
 
Was at the Gap last weekend, Saturday was great weather but was too tired from driving.,Sunday was raining all day and a snow storm warning, Monday was great at noon after the snow melted .Got the place for our self with only 6 other bikes. I guess it will be super busy this summer.
Are you guys trailering or riding down?
 
I'll be there in the Booya house. I'm riding down taking 2 days to get there then a 3 day Blue Ridge Parkway route home.
 
Does this Punkin inn have a website? Couldn't find anything via google.

Buddy and I were looking at heading down, maybe we could book it around this time.
 
Holy crap, didn't know there will be this many posts so quickly :D. The Punkin's owner mentioned he was changing the name slightly last fall. To location is on the corner of 129 and 72, was easy to find with the gps.

There is a bbq resturant with the motel, really really good pulled pork. He opened the kitchen for us in the evenings when we got back late and didn't want to go into town. In the mornings there was a greasy spoon mom & pops shop 5 min down the road for bacon & eggs that was cheap. Motel is only 20 min from walmart in maryville and some good resturants as well. The owner puts kickstand pucks in the room for all the guests last fall which was nice.

After tax the prices last fall were $70 per night for 2 ppl, and an extra $10 per night per additional person or something like that. I will be calling him next week to confirm.

That's great that there are a few groups going. Booya's group will be at Two Sister's? Are other chalets being rented or ppl staying at the Deal's Gap or in town?

A group meetup on the weekend sounds like a great idea. I am planning on leaving friday night, getting there saturday noonish, a group meetup on Sunday May 20th we'd be in for. Cheers

I'm bored at work tonight, I called up the motel and spoke with the owner. Rates have gone up $5, so after tax would be about $75 a night. Also, he mentioned that if you book 6 nights, the 7th night is free. Would have to call for more details. Cheers
