I'm just reading The Bikeriders which the Netflix flic is based on and this footnote caught my eye. 1909 !!!!
I've mainly stuck with stock mufflers even buying a stock can for my brief dip into BMW land ...a G-310GS which I recently sold.
I was quite happy when the CB500F I'm currently riding came with stock.
Guy offered me a third party muffler of some sort but I declined....might have been a mistake as I saw he listed it for $150 later.
I still recall the first time I approached an early Goldwing and was shocked ...it was running !!!....and effectively silent ( don't think my hearing had quite gone yet )
Of course I'm completely jealous of the EV Zero that Marc of Marc Travels rides.

It's $42k Australian and he's regularly getting 300 km plus range - currently in China which is EV heaven for him.
