The Essence of a Canadian

Cool vids. My cousin that rides dirt tells me riding in snow isn't a big deal at all. The problem with winter riding is that deep snow may be ok for riding in with the right tires but nothing will make a bike half decent on the roads in the winter. Packed snow sucks. Spikes are good for ice but on dry pavement they are crap.

In my first year of riding I found a bunch of vids of some guy in Ontario that rode is CBR125R to work in the winter but he only lived a few blocks away and he wouldn't take roads. He was riding it through soccer fields and whatnot to get there.

Just got ride of my street bike for a sled, first time in 12 years I won't have one. If that was actual deep snow he wouldn't be going anywhere near as quick.Hit a tree branch or a rock coverd in snow with your front tire and you'll see what the big deal is. Don't get me wrong, I've done it and its not too bad but when there's real snow your just goofing around or hitting trees.

I used to Ride my F4i in the winter. did that for a whole winter in 2002.
i rode that bike in all weather. :) even went on a winter ride to Hamilton and Niagara region.

And till today the guys at snow city call me crazy and Mr AllSeasons.

and this year i have been out a couple of times. and i Live in wasaga beach. :)

Its just how you ride.. comes from years experience.
