That's some good riding!

Is the title of the thread supposed to be sarcastic? He was hit by a car doing an unsafe lane change. The lane he was in was actually a lane when he was hit, he had finished crossing the markings indicating that it wasn't a lane before he was hit.

more like "some good riding gear"

driver didn't need to check his shoulder, since there was no lane for him to change into, why would he care about the rider...yup, stupid driver...looks like he was trying to skip ahead or something...

It is sarcastic.
You shouldn't speed it after changing into the next lane.
The guy in the hatchback looks like a Golf has his signals first. He merged and the rider sped into the Golf.
If the rider didn't give the throttle, he could've controled it.

Who says he was speeding? I didn't see his speedometer in that video nor did I see a speed limit sigh...how did you figure out what speed he was going and what the speed limit was on that road?
The golf put his signal on when the bike was within 20 feet, his signal blinked once on he was already meging before the second "blink" had finished. The car hit the bike, the bike did not run into the car.

What he did before the accident wasn't to smart riding in a lane that wasn't actually a lane but when he was hit it was an actual lane.

Actually the markings in the center of the road only disappear briefly, when he's hit the slashed lines appear again so there was probably just a section where the paint had worn out.

Also, this looks like the UK so maybe those line markings are for a 'shared' centre lane like we have here for turning left off out of the flow of traffic? Except in this vid it would be for right turns. If it is a right turn 'exiting' lane then the biker had a right to be there he just should have been more careful about passing cars, and the driver should have looked for traffic coming up behind before moving into the lane. Even the biker did his shoulder check before moving over.

My 2c.
