Tank dent

How big/bad.

Auto magicians does good work on cars. I'm not sure if they do bikes though.

My friend had 3" dent done in his front yard but in another city, virtually impossible to see where the dent was removed. No painting involved. He paid likely 100/200 maybe less.

I read about a trick where you seal off the tank after putting dry ice in it and the expansion of the gas will pop the dent out.

caveat:

1. I never tried it
2. **** knows how you seal off the tank enough to build up sufficient pressure
3. You have to find some dry ice
4. Sounds like bollocks to me.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'm just gonna have to learn to live with it :-(

Autobahn detailing had a good guy who worked on a couple hard to reach dents in my Audi. Can't remember his name though. Wasn't cheap but great work so i thought it was a reasonable price. I think $160 for first dent and $80 for each subsequent dent on the same door panel was my price.

Tanks are designed to vent pressure on warm days.

I bet someone has tried this.

and you're on the other side of the country....
thanks for the ****ing suggestion. Why don't you go on your own forums??

I heard you could even leave little evaporative gas amount in the tank and throw a match in quickly, not only it will get rid of dent but also makes your tank bigger for higher gas mileage.

is this ********?? I got a stupid dent in mine I'd like to get out. Its not badly creased or anything but it pisses me off...

won't **** up the bike will it?

I would advise against throwing a match in a gas tank... but hey, that's just me and my common sense.

I was kidding no way you could ignite any gas left in it, result is unpredictable most likely it will rupture along weld seam.
