I take my M1 Exit text this week. I'm so excited & of course nervous. I haven't practiced as I've been getting all my ducks in a row. But I have my saftey and my insurance, just need to get my plates on monday. I think most people are the same, you only have the M1 for 3 months. I can't wait till I know I did it!!!! Get out on the road and off the ttc. Wish me luck and if you have any helpful hints or words of advice - bring it on. Cheers.

I went into the course as green as a kawasaki and came out with a pass. No experience also means no bad habits. I found the hardest part was riding under no engine power....that and having to push the bike back uphill.

They will prepare you, and give you plenty of practice time before the test. Just know your limitations when you get out on the open road. I think over half my kilometers were done in the dealership parking lot.

Good luck!

I believe hes just doing the test through the ministry and not RTI or similar..

What kinda of bike are you riding? I have a friend who just took it on a 600 gsxr and there was one other girl there on a 250 ninja, they both complained the serpentine was too tight and that they couldnt manuver it properly. I personaly think its just a lack of experience and practice. so practice practice practice... Riding in a stright line DOES NOT MAKE YOU A RIDER... Dont be impressed that you can go down the street at 200k Be impressed that you can turn your bike in an almost zero turning radius at a slow speed.

Im not cutting you up, And just so your aware he put his foot down a hundred times and had to adjust just as often and he passed. So dont sweat it to much just keep practicing! go to a parking lot (empty lot) and just practice.

I agree. Slow speed manoeuvres are the hardest. Its a lot easier to handle a bike once your going anything over 30km/h really. Just stay confident and dont look at the ground! keep your eyes where you want to go and your bike will go there (somehow) haha. but seriously. you will have a blast!

Thanx for the kind words. I think I'll do great, I have the desire and passion! Once I get on the bike, I feel good and confident - it's the anxiety and thinking before you get there. And I'll keep my eyes up - If you look at the ground, you'll be on the ground.... heheheee. I'm excited for it and after I'll practice before I go jump in traffic!

Kyle is right, I did put my foot down numerous of times and I still passed. As long as you correct yourself and don't panic , you will be fine. The instructor is very lenient and he understands the serpentine test is difficult for a lot of new riders. Just be flawless on the rest of the tests.

hey anyone, i need some help. does anyone a good website that will my cousin study for m1 written test. (here is also a hint: he is looking for some motorcycle gear- a new rider)
