tail lights

would there be a problem if i re-wire my 2 rear signal lights so that they are lit all the time just like the front signal lights? I ride a cruiser bike.

No problem at all,, there are kits avail to do that... some people go to all the trouble to change the lamp holder and add the wire to make the lamp have 2 filaments,,, Tail, and signal.... others just use the same bulb .. and turn it OFF to signal.. with a relay, or the avail kits..

Make sure you change the lens from amber to red. Rear running lamps must be red in color.

I'm planning the same mod on both of our bikes. (Yamaha Viragos)

As was said above, you can't have amber running lights, and this kit for $50 bucks looks promising

Update, I installed the Electrical Connection conversion kit this week.
Makes a huge difference in visibility at night. Total install time was about 2 hours as I had to work out the routing of the additional wiring.
Toughest part was feeding it through my existing signal stocks.
