On a whim I bought a Kobo Ereader at Walmart in the States. I actually went in to buy a sandwich and a yogurt but whatever.....and I do quite like it. But......I think I would really like a ereader/tablet that I can have a couple movies on AND use as an Ereader. From what I have read, it looks like the Nook color is the way to go.

I can't afford a full fledged tablet,Ipad,Galaxy et all and I really don't know what Android means. I have a nice Acer laptop and I Iphone now but I am looking for something that I can store under my bike seat so when I ger called into work I have some media with me.

I work on call 24/7 and a couple of times I have been called while out riding and have not had the oppurtunity to go home and get my " stuff". The Kobo fits very easily under my bike seat, there is LOADS of room under there to stick a well protected tablety/ereader thing.

The Nook has some nice features and a very attractive price point. Also, a ereader that can let me highlight passages/info would be awesome as I highlight stuff in my fitness books all the time. Now that I have been introduced to an ereader I want more!

Oh and it needs to be pretty simple as well, I struggle with my iphone.

So,looking for an ereader that I can watch movies on. I don't need a camera or 3G or extra stuff. Thats pretty much all I want to do.

Thoughts and suggestions are welcomed, thank you.

Canada Computers has a good selection of internet tablets ranging from really affordable (but on the slow side) to more expensive (with more power)

I personaly have an Archos 7 Home Tablet that does what you want to do and my wife has the Coby Kyros MID7024 but don't expect the same screen quality as an iPad in term of responsiveness. I use mine almost exclusively for movies and she uses hers for eBooks. Each tablets can do both.

My recommendation is to wait for the Toshiba Thrive that is coming out a about 2-3 weeks. Pricing is from $430 - $580 at future shop depending on capacity.

Its a google android tablet with full flash functionality. Its got a full SD slot and USB. It also has HDMI output for pumping the video onto a TV. I generally think Toshiba build solid products and the design of the tablet just seems smart. I think its easy to change the battery on the thing should it die which is not really the case with a lot of other tablets.
