Yonge and bloor IIRC. It's pretty widely available information.

As for so many, I am surprised there arent 1000. They are basically printing money. Surrounding municipalities are also running them so avoiding TO doesnt mean you are safe. I will be shocked if they dont show up on all the decent bike roads soon.

Relocations of existing cameras as of May 1st.
 
There's a new one on Charleston Sideroad westbound entering Caledon, right across the road from the fire station. The signs in the area still say "coming soon" ... perhaps it's not operational yet ... I opted not to find out.

It appears to be merely plopped down on the gravel shoulder. It's not even sitting level. I doubt if it's anchored down.
 
Are speeding tickets public records? You gonna get police, fire truck, city workers, school bus drivers , city councillors , etc

All tickets get reviewed by a person before mailing IIRC. I'd be shocked if any municipal vehicles were issued a ticket. Too politically embarrassing so they probably just never exist. As for everybody else, they only know the owner, not the driver so you can't call out the city councillor for a daily ticket as it may be their wife or kid.

I think they are all shooting rear plates. Not sure what they do with trailers. Many commercial trailers are only minimally related with the truck pulling them, do they bother or do those get a pass?


FWIW, afaik they are all still manual download. If the tickets in the memory are bad enough to risk a criminal charge, take the box and the tickets never get issued.
 
So if its a 50 km/hr posted zone, and I'm driving 50 - do I get a ticket? or do I have be going 51 or faster?

Theoretically, it appears that the system could ticket you at 51 for one over. In practice, most municipalities seem to issue tickets starting at 10 over.
