Hey everyone,

So I've realized over the winter that my bike (suzuki sv1000s 2007) doesn't like starting unless I give it a bit of throttle. The engine will turn over without throttle, just won't actually start.

I didn't really winterize my bike this year and thus never charged up the battery. I was wondering if maybe a new battery was in order? Battery is still stock and the bike only has 13k km so maybe its close to being done?

I just had the spark plugs etc changed at the 12k service.

Any ideas what could be causing this? Is it just the colder weather?

Appreciate it

Owned the same bike for 6 years.Never had a problem after winter.Mind you I did winterize it. Try Seafoam and charge the battery.Good Luck.Nice bike, got a Duc now.

Try running a new batch of gas.
