Suzuki's released its own version of the S1000XR it seems, similar specs, engine configuration, I suspect considerably more affordable than the BMW though. Dont think this will pull a lot of buyers away from a Ducati or bmw, but this will be a problem for versys 1000 and tracer9 cross-shoppers.

These model names are getting out of control. Six consonants, no vowels and the numbers. That's getting close to Harley territory with their FXXYZBDR Screaming Eagle Plus Platinum Stage 3+ Limited Edition . . .

i like it in the green. Too expensive though. With exchange that $14,999Euro is around $22,000Cdn which is pretty much the same as a well spec'd XR ($23ish).

Also in my experience, its best to add like 10k on top of whatever BMW says, that 20k bike listed on the motarrad website is the base bike that is non existent, the only ones on the showroom are specced out, with an extra 5k of stuff + taxes, fees etc, and you're looking at 30k for a '20k' bike.

BMW made a bunch of options now standard on the XR for 2024. A bare 2024 XR is priced at $23k at dealers and at that price has everything and more than the GSX. Few add-ons from there if you want but then it's not an apples-apples comparison.

Then you just order from the factory…which is what most buyers do.
