State farms last year? They were bought out yes but dropping all their ss business? Highly unlikely. Allstate is still for over 30 crowd except Peggy. Td for sure and surnet I couldn't tell you. The first three were the only ones I was aware of. None of this is news except this sf thing. Proof please?

my impression is sf will become dissolved into dejardens. (agents and contracts get acquired but, sf underwriting doesn't)

dejardens doesn't do ss's

I really don't think dejardens will keep a sf sub-division.

I'm going to go with wrong for $500 Alex. Currently sf is one of 3 who will insure a ss. 2 if you're under 30. Desjardins won't be so stupid as to cut off that market. All those ****** off people would take their cars house etc too. Not going to happen.

ok.. so i just got off the phone with my sf agent, and the hand-over happens in 2015, but dejardens WILL be the underwriters, and they will keep sf as a sub-division for a couple of years after that.

I asked if they will still insure ss and i was told they have no idea. It will be a 'we'll know when they get told kind of thing'

Just received a letter from sf and it stated that the take over will happen in January 2015 and that no services will be dropped. I also talked to my agent and she assured me that their ss coverage will not be dropped.
