all i have is the safety course.
today when practice riding, i came across this scenario few times.

I am at stop sign waiting to turn left. the car behind me came up beside me to turn right.
this is a single lane side street. Are they allowed to do that? If i was in a car, I'd still think they would try to do that if they had enough room. My question is, did I do the right thing by not trying to block them?

Ive heard they can do this if you over far enough to the left.
You could always stop in the right tire track thus blocking them from turning. Really up to you

I do it to cars... and cars do it to me. If you're unable to complete your turn it's just courteous to let them go if possible.
You see cars pulling further ahead to let people turn right also.

thanks

when you first started out, did you get nervous waiting to turn left at a traffic light?

Welcome, left turns were a breeze....I was afraid of speed wobbles on the interstate.

I get nervous everytime I start up the bike. Doesn't matter what I'm doing, when I'm on it I'm nervous.

That's what dragged me into riding in the first place!

Plus it's good practice to always be alert and on your toes watching out for everything.
