Last minute decision to ride out to Calabogie if anyone wants to join, leaving at 5am to clear the highway portion nice and early.
Note: There is no gravel planned on this route. Definitely not for newer riders due to the pace and very twisty roads. This will be a slightly quicker pace, due to the length of the route and decreasing daylight. 2 other riders max, since smaller groups are easier and safer to manage.
Time: Leaving my house in Mississauga at 5am! Hope to be home before 7pm. Can meet anywhere between Mississauga and Belleville if needed.
Lunch: Will pack a light lunch - no sit down restaurant meal, but will probably stop to eat by the water at the Calabogie picnic area.
Pace: Responsible in the straights, respectful in the smaller towns and fun the corners. Gas stops every 200km or so. If you have ridden with me before - same thing.
Route: Round trip from Mississauga will be about 1000km. Google Maps says around 12hrs.
Morning route to Calabogie: Mississauga to Calabogie
Afternoon route back to Mississauga: Calabogie to Mississauga
Post up or PM if interested.
Cheers!
