Anyone tried this cell phone network yet? I just got an email from OpenMedia saying Rogers and Bell are trying to shut them down. $19/month for cell/text/ID service. Sounds pretty good to me *if* it works and there's no strings attached.

I understand this to be a VOIP network. Meaning, you have to have access to data/wifi in order for the service to work.
You can do the above for free via. FONGO.

If I understand their site correctly. It's a voip network that gives you 200mb of 3G data. Those 600 included minutes, are taken out of that 200mb data pool. Doesn't give you much at all.

Can't forget how flaky 3G data is either, wouldn't want to trust voip over 3G.

+1. 3G is painfully slow, like dial up.
