I go once in a while. Still the biggest meet around with some cool exotics cars.
Decided to leave with a couple of cars and my buddy with R1 to go towards Missisauga. As soon as we got on 407 On-ramp (West) there was a road block/check point with 7 cruisers and couple tow trucks. So you could just imagine their looks when they saw GTR (fastest one in Canada by the way), modded Z06 with GoPro mounted on the side and 2 crotch rockets behind them. Not that we were gonna do anything stupid anyway but they did send an under cover cop after to watch over us while we were on the highway doing 110km/h. Not that stupid Mr.Officer :cool:
Saw some people busted for hammering too hard off the light. Which I have no issue with, no need for that on the busy HW.7
Man, they were hungry last night to catch some races.:rolleyes:
 
Start of the season I saw someone getting impounded out of BB for popping a wheelie. Cops seem to be everywhere there are meets because ppl make too much noise.

There's two big issues imo:

1. Cops are ****ing wasting tax money (surprise??!?!?!!) because they can't catch most of them if they decide to run, and I'm sure cell phone drivers kill A LOT more people than people who actually love their vehicles!

2. Some of the participants in Ertefa can be really ****ing stupid. Bouncing off the limiter, burnouts, wheelies, etc. attract unwanted attention (cops).

Surprise, surprise. I haven't heard one good word about that meet from people I know that tried to go. Not everyone is bad but you get the pack of retard kids together showing off their shitbox imports and doing burnouts etc and bad things follow. Can't blame the cops. I'm sure they're bombarded with ****** off phone calls. I stopped attending events like that a while ago. Too many mad skillz drifters for me yo! :rolleyes:

The meet itself is actualy really decent. Lots of nice cars and bikes. Sure you get an ocassional fcktard revving it up but what meet without one...or 2

Yeah, I saw a row of Lambos the last time I went and there were other really nice cars. But these random shitboxes were trying to do burnouts. There were also a few deaths earlier in the year involving motorcycles on the 400 ramp next to Ertefa's old location.

You cannot outrun the police. Your bike is not faster than a radio, and at some point, they will justify running you down.
Besides, its either park there or go around tazering 80 year old ladies.

I'll be frank, I've been following your posts and have a problem with very strongly vocalized repeated opinions. You're against fast vehicles, I get it but you don't need to repeat it in every post.

Also, the statement you made with regards to the radio. Of course, land vehicles will likely never be faster than a radio transmission but you do realize that the reason why we only hear of stories of people being caught is because you can't write a story of someone who got away. Could you imagine how tarnished the police image would be if there were articles about vehicles evading high speed pursuit?! I won't go further into detail because it is illegal and neither do I condone illegal activities.

But seriously, stop with the anti-speeding ********. A large portion of us have SS bikes and most of us aren't riding because it's "600 cubic centimeters of panty dropping sex appeal".
 
It's faster than a radio but not faster than a helicopter :) .....which they only use 90 percent of the time in Peel.
 
Outside of Ertefa it was fine, no heat. Actually was controlled by personnel just at lights beside the exits. Were you or your friend the one with the blue R1 with blue neons, you stupid
 
You're not as fast as you think you are, and if they wanted to get you, they would. It's a fine balancing act of picking your spots and if they'll get the conviction.

Just because you have a fast bike, doesn't mean you would know what to do with it if push came to shove, or maybe you do, but eventually, your luck runs out. Pick your battles.

I agree w/ this but again, I don't run because it doesn't take much to kill yourself when doing so.

I hate ertefa night... Since I live in the area, I need to witness the superbright blue/green/pink HIDs many w/o projectors or horribly pointed flying by cutting in and out of traffic like they're in Fast and Furious. Most of the riders I see in that area at night usually ride at a sane speed (probably like 30 over on Weston).

AHAHAHAAHA reminds me of all the shitbox civics modded into an uglier piece of **** especially the self-modded ones. You can't be cheap on modding your car and make it look cool at the same time. I wish I didn't delete a video I had of a civic that literally zip tied a self-made "skirt" on and was rattling cause of the giant exhaust. Of course they also have to have cheap HIDs with no projectors running as well....
 
I don't know why people are shocked at police presence at things like this. An organized show is one thing but this weekly parking lot parade sooner or later will draw cops. It's inevitable. Driving too and from like a bunch of retards really helps :rolleyes: (I know not everyone does but the ones that do ruin it for everyone else)
