Street legal 2 stroke ktm?

i'm looking into buying a KTM that recently came up for sale. the owner will not sell it saftied.
just wondering if its actually possible to put this thing on the road?
its a 2005 KTM 200 EXC (2 stroke).
its blue plated (green ownership paper issued to the hwy traffic act"
its got only a headlight / tail light and WILL NEED a kit to pass safety.

Yes it's totally possible to put it on the road. Check out aviciouscycle.com they are near Kitchener and sell full lighting kits. This will not be a good road bike, most guys blue plate them only to link trails. If it's already blue plated you'll have no problems at the mto.

Yup, if it's already blue plated your only trouble will be getting it certified, which isn't really that hard at all. I did this last fall with a blue plated KDX 220.

edit: you may also need to look around a bit to find insurance. I'm with TD/Meloche Monnex
