A slow moving cold front tracking across southern Ontario is bringing a wet end to summer in some areas.
Storms started firing up around Sarnia in the late afternoon. The rain will gradually move into the GTA during the overnight hours and then into eastern Ontario by Saturday morning.
Between 20-40 mm of rain is possible with locally higher amounts likely in heavier bands.
On Friday afternoon, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority issued a statement warning of higher-than-usual water levels. While flooding is not expected, rising water could create dangerous conditions.
