Looking for a motorcycle store in the Oakville/Burlington area that carries full face helmets.

Can anyone recommend a place, preferably with a large selection.

Thanks for the reply

I have already seen the list

I was looking more for opinion about price, range, customer service rather than just a list

Oakville Yamaha or Burlington cycle.
Not a large selection but that is all that is local.
It is worth the drive to Whitby as GP bikes has the biggest selection I have seen in one place, then go to Royal down the street.

Keep in mind not all stores deal with the same suppliers/manufacturers. I don't think there's a brick and mortar store in your area that will have the kind of selection I think you're looking for. Be prepared to visit a few stores that are out of your geographical area. If what you're after is just to try on a bunch of helmets, then Whitby is your best bet.

Burlington Cycle's selection is fairly small, but I am sure they could order you anything you want.

Oakville Yamaha - 2 thumbs up. The staff is awesome in there. Good selection of helmets. They also carry some pretty high end HELD gloves and Kriega luggage/bags.

If you don't mind driving a bit further, go to Sturgess in Hamilton. They are having an awesome sale on gear.

There is a Royal Distributing up in Guelph too. Might be closer to you then Whitby...and they are open till 8 on Thursdays and Fridays.

+1 on royal in guelph...and a little further west on woodlawn (becomes victoria rd after a while) is zdeno in kitchener...and a little further west on that then north on weber is tri city in waterloo...all make for a fun ride if you take the back roads...

Do any of those places have a nice selection of Alpinestars jackets?
I'm looking for specific colours and was thinking of taking a nice long ride to Guelph but the Royal Distributing catelogue doesn't have too many A* jackets.

unfortunately, no one in Ontario has a nice selection of A* jackets. Your best bet is to browse online and order it from your local stores if you still want to buy locally.

They don't have many A*s , was just there yesterday. But I would look at styles and sizes and then order online. I went to a few local places to try on gear and then bought most of it online. I still bought some stuff at Royal (TCX S boots and some small riding gloves) but everything else I got from canadasmotorcycle.ca. Placing another order from them today.

I will go down to Sturgess this weekend. They seem to have SOME selection but overall there prices seem to be competitive to Canada-Motorcycle. Or at least the prices Tyler is giving right now.
So might be worth supporting the local business.

I agree with you supporting locally. Could of saved some cash buying outta town on my bike but gave the sale to my guy down the street :). Royal just didn't have the selection of gear I wanted. PLus when I asked about ordering something in they said it would be "Special Ordered" and if it didn't fit I was stuck with it kind of thing. Not sure if that was 100% true or just them trying to get me to buy something on the rack. I did buy my first helmet there but it was too small, returned it and spent even more money on my boots there. Could have gotten those boots cheaper online but since the sales people helped me get into the right sized boot and we very friendly they got the sale.

Yeah good service goes a long way!
Tyler at Sturgess has been very helpful on GTAM forums. So as long as his prices are reasonably competitive, I'm willing to buy from him rather than online.

most places that order something for you will either say it's final sale or charge a restocking fee...it's not their normal inventory so they are doing the customer a favour...

now having said that, royal is having a buy one, get one half off sale until the end of the month on jackets, pants, helmets etc...
