Stock exhaust baffles

Hey Guys,

I have a fuel injected yamaha raider cruiser, and love the look of the exhaust but thinking of modifying it by drilling out some of
the baffles. Are there any consequences or issues that can arise to motor by doing this, I don't want to damage my bikes engine or performance. I know buying an exhaust system could give me the sound that I want, but I like the way the stock pipes look on the bike and just want a little more rumble in the bike. Any thoughts or experience.

Thanks

Many R1 owners do the same thing - the stock cans are titanium and look pretty decent so they just drill out the caps, ditch the baffles and replace with a 2" perforated tubing and new muffler packing. Essentially the same performance as a set of slips-ons. Retuning/rejetting is optimal, but it should be fine without.
