So what does that mean for us riders legally?

I (just me ) want to take advantage of the many empty parking lots to practice.

I can not find anything on riding on the Peel Police website

Only thing that might say its ok for rider is
Outdoor activities that are allowed are golfing, baseball, skate parks, horseback riding etc. Only if social distancing is followed

Doesn't mean ANYTHING

Because Dougie can't be a real leader

I would say avoid groups larger than 5 people :]

Riding or driving from your home for a break from the house is not an issue. Going to a Tim’s parking lot and yapping it up with others is.

Riders? Honestly, probably all boils down to if public places are going to lock their toilets again. Not the end of the world if you're comfortable with giving back to nature.

Be nice, and strap a PortaPotti to the rack for your wife.

The cops aren't going to pull you over, or set up checkpoints, to see where you're from and where you're going.

But ... if you go somewhere and find yourself among a large group (5+) of people in somewhat-close proximity ... expect attention.

The province has enacted another stay-at-home order as Ontario faces a third wave mainly driven by more transmissible and more deadly COVID-19 variants.
The order comes into effect on Thursday, April 8 and will last for at least four weeks.
It says people cannot leave home, except for about nearly 30 essential reasons:

You must not leave home, except:
  • To go to work or volunteer. The work role must be considered “essential.” Per the terms of the order, employers get to decide if a job is essential or not.
  • To go to school (some school boards have closed for in-person learning)
  • Attending, obtaining or providing child-care.
  • Receiving or providing training or educational services.”
To buy things:
  • Purchasing “food, beverage and personal care items.”
  • Obtaining healthcare items and medication
  • Buying goods or services that are “necessary for landscaping, gardening and the safe operation, maintenance and sanitation of households, businesses, means of transportation or other places.”
  • Buying or attending an appointment at any business allowed to be open, including for curbside pickup.
  • Attending a financial institution.
  • Receiving any government service including healthcare or mental health assistance.
Helping others:
  • Delivering goods or providing care to anyone in a congregate care setting or receiving goods or support.
  • Accompanying someone else outside who requires assistance to travel.
  • Transporting a child to their parent or guardian’s home.
  • Transporting a member of one’s household “to any place the member of the household is permitted to go under this Order.”
To protect oneself:
  • From domestic violence
  • Assisting someone living in unsafe conditions
  • Seeking help in an emergency situation
  • Attending a court or other location for the administration of justice
To exercise, including:
  • “walking or moving around outdoors using an assistive mobility device”
  • using an outdoor recreational amenity permitted to be open.
Indigenous rights:
  • All activities protected under Aboriginal treaty as defined by the Constitution Act of 1982.
Moving and travelling:
  • Travelling is permitted to another location if the person intends to stay there less than 24 hours and is doing so for one of the other purposes set out in the order.
  • Otherwise, travelling to another residence is only allowed if an individual intends to stay there for at least 14 days.
  • Travelling between homes of parents, guardians or caregivers in order to safeguard someone under their care.
  • “Making arrangements to buy or sell a residence or to begin or end a residential lease.”
  • Moving.
  • Going to the airport, train or bus station, “for the purpose of travelling to a destination that is outside of the Province."
Gathering:
  • If one lives alone, with the members of one additional household.
  • For a wedding, funeral or religious service that is permitted by law or making necessary arrangements for the purpose of such a gathering.
Caring for animals:
  • Buying food or veterinary services for an animal.
  • Walking an animal.
  • Preventing or avoiding an imminent risk to an animal’s health or safety, including preventing animal abuse.
Nothing in these orders apply to the homeless.

My comments:

Where is the list of approved activities?

Why do employers get to decide. Too often the decision is based on profit.

Is a track day or rider training an educational service?

  • employers get to decide if a job is essential or not.
  • Receiving or providing training or educational services.”
I can't find a specific list of approved activities or a clarification of

"using an outdoor recreational amenity permitted to be open"

Riding a bicycle is exercise. Riding a M/C isn't.

Golf is exercise but social distancing is problematic. People abuse the rules.

Riding a horse is only exercise for the horse but I suspect they have problems if kept locked in a barn for a month. See caring for animals.

The intent of the act is to minimize spread.

Do you have to go out?

Yes, I have to pick up toiletries. Can I take the M/C?

Yes you can take the M/C but regardless of what vehicle, you take the shortest route to the nearest store. You don't ride from Toronto to Muskoka for a bar of soap.

Bending the rules encourages others to bend the rules. If people didn't bend the rules we wouldn't be facing this shut down. Do you want another? This summer is screwed. Anyone want to screw next winter and summer as well?

So by that definition, a motorcycle tour is allowed. You are travelling to another location and you are not staying there for more than 24 hours. Every time you move resets the clock. They didn't say you have to be home within 24 hours, just not any other specific destination for more than 24 hours.

Hunting is allowed as long as you are not in a blind with a non-household member

I'm fed up.

There's too much double-speak and alternate facts being put forth. "We're going to be enforcing rules with zero tolerance". Bull ****. It took you 4 days to close down a BBQ place who's owner dared you to stop him from opening. Lies and posturing. If they (the governments) are not going to be truthful to me about what's happening, I'm going to do what I think is morally acceptable.

Who the hell are we supposed to believe? Pfizer + Modena or the government?

Technically I think you're correct except for the Stay at home part at the top.

It says one of the other purposes set out in the order but I can't find a Can do or Can't do list.

outdoor recreational amenity permitted to be open. Wazzat?

IMO Ford showed a tiny bit of his left testicle by hitting Walmart and Costco. If he wanted to make an impact he would shut down construction.

Construction workers aren't suffering financially and they play hard around the neighbourhood. They know the police have stated they only act on complaints. It's a joke to many of them.

People have to ask if they want to do the maximum or minimum

holy smokes! highways and local streets were busy as usual. You would think people had to work for a living!
btw. 3/4 of Streetsville Go parking lot is sectioned off.
