So I had a lowside that landed right on the Stator cover and cracked it and when it hit it ground the inside metal (Bracket, holder.....) to the inside of the stator and pinched the stator in where it will not come out.
The stator is fine and measures perfectly on the multimeter, I just want to find out what the best way is to getting it out.

Any help is appreciated..

Sorry for the bad pics, Hard to get a clear pic.

where is the stator stuck? in the cover or the flywheel?

In the cover, In the pic at the base of the stator (On the inside) the metal it sits in got ground tight around the inside of the stator and it is now pinching the stator.

Sorry for the bad explanation.

Thread the bolts in but not all the way, leave a little room...Hold the stator then tap the heads of the bolts with a brass hammer if you have one, or a regular hammer if you dont but be gentle...It will pop it out

Ok I can give that a try, So just tap them inwards? And that should bend the thin ground down part back?

And why the brass hammer?

Thanks,

Brass is probably softer than the thing you're hitting, so the hammer will take the damage and not the thing you're smashing.

JohnnyP, You the man, I figured it was to tp in dowwards and a couple taps and out she came.

Thanks man, you saved me $100
