Stand alone surveillance camera

I am looking for a battery operated surveillance camera that can record 24 hours video loops. Preferably it would have motion detection. I can see battery life being an issue so the battery doesn't have to hold a 24 hour hours on it own as long as I can use a battery pack.

What's out here?

Is getting power to it's location an issue?

If this is a short term thing a game camera is probably your best option, honestly - they're designed to do what you're looking for.

The problem with surveillance cameras is that unless they send the video to a remote location (or hidden spot on location) the whole thing is easily stolen...

The intent is to hide it. A game cameras is probably ideal.
I found a few apps that can do this. I might just use an old phone.

I was thinking the same how ever if he could put a solar charger/battery where it can't be seen...
