Hello everyone,

I have just bought CBR125R as my first bike and have already tried it once on local streets (40km/h).
I quickly realized that I need a lot more practice to be able to ride to work as my skills are very rusty and last time I was on motorcycle was two years ago during my classes at RTI.
Appreciate any guidance, tips ext.

Thanks,

Stan

Hey, I'm originally from Newmarket, and I ride up there pretty frequently. My insurance won't kick in for a few weeks, but if at that point you still need a hand, just give me a shout

Hi Stan

I'm in Newmarket with over 30yrs experience (albeit 28 on the other side of the rd and a few bad habits to boot!). My bike's on the road, PM me and let me know how I can help?

John

Take the course...best thing you'll ever do before climbing on your bike and hitting the mean streets.

Probably shouldn't broadcast that you're riding around frequently w/ no insurance.
I mean, nvm, lets us know we shouldn't ride with you until it kicks in.

What? I haven't ridden without insurance.. my bike is still stored. I said I had to wait for it to kick in before I could ride with him

At no point does he say he's riding without insurance. He does however say that once his insurance kicks in he'll be available to ride.

Congratulations bud!! I read your other thread so I guess you had finally decided to take the plunge and get a bike, while juggling the finances and the house.

Поздравляю с мотоциклом!! =)

why does it matter to you if you're insured?
The deductible you have to pay out of your own pocket if you were to be in a collision with an uninsured motorist?

Oh okay, I guess it was just phrased badly? "I'm originally from Newmarket, and I ride up there pretty frequently"

Welcome and congrats on the bike! Great bike for getting started! I highly enjoyed mine when I had it! Enjoy the season and ride safe!

Welcome and enjoy your new ride!! See you around town!

It's an awesome bike to start with - was my first bike... the good thing is you have lots of empty roads up there to practice!

Welcome!!

Welcome!! Nice starting bike!

Welcome to the forum. With the lay off you have had from riding, taking a refresher course wouldn't be a bad idea either. Cheers
