Details:
2008 speed triple (~3500km)
Squeak from front end (I think)
Starting about 30 km/hr +
Started after a long ride 2 weeks ago.
Definitely related to the rotation of the wheels.
Squeak gets worse as I accelerate
No squeak when I walk the bike up and down the street but I do hear the pads rubbing (low speeds)
Front brakes do squeak slightly when coming to a stop
I only have 1 day off this week so I want to see if I can at least source the problem during that day and either fix it or order the parts.
After searching gtam and triumphrat what I've come up with these possibilities: brake pads, calipers not releasing after braking, warped rotors, speedo cable and chain tension/not lubed or possibly the wheel bearings but I've been told I'd hear more of a grinding/squeaking sound and it is definitely an annoying squeak without the grinding.
Just looking for other possibilities so I'm not digging around aimlessly. I am having a hard time isolating where the sound comes from while riding while trying not to run into a pole.
Thanks
