I decided to edit this first post with the contest as a twist...A hidden contest. :)

Now on to the details.... Below is a riddle. First person to correctly post the answer will win a free pair of tickets to the show!!

Stevie had decided it was time to take his motorcycle to work. It had been in a garage all winter, and, finally, the weather had gotten nice outside. So, he gets it out of the mothballs, siphons gas out of the lawn mower, fires up the tank, and off he goes.

He’s enjoying the beautiful sunshine and the warm air. He comes to an intersection that he goes through every day…but he’s usually driving his car, and when you’re on a motorcycle you’re keenly aware of everything around you. He looks up at a building to his right, and he sees one of those big signs that display the time and temperature. He notices the time, and says, “Geez, I guess I’m really late for work! But, I’ll stay late, not to worry!”

Then, the temperature comes up in Fahrenheit, and a few seconds later it comes up in centigrade. Stevie says, “Hah! That’s interesting. The digits are exactly reversed.” For example, it might have read 31 degrees Fahrenheit, and when it showed the centigrade reading it said “13.” He thinks, “I’ve never seen that before.”

The light turns green, and off he goes to work. Well, because he got to work so late, he decided to stay late. When he comes out of work, he realizes he should have checked the weather forecast, because it’s drizzly, rainy, and cold.

He’s riding home, when he comes to the same intersection. He thinks, “What are the chances I’d ever see that again?” He knows it’s a different temperature because it’s not warm and sunny like it was when he went to work, and now it’s cold, drizzly, and rainy. He sees the temperature in Fahrenheit, and the temperature in centigrade. He can’t believe it but the numbers are reversed again!

The question is, what was the temperature in the morning when he went to work, and what was the temperature when he went home?

Contest: see who has won the most contests and give them the tickets! ?

How about you pick 5 items, and we have to post pics that have those items and a bike in it. The only catch is that at least one of the pics has to be with your current ride.

Contest idea: members reply to a thread that they are interested in going to the show. Only one post per member allowed. You plug all the post numbers into a random number generator, or free site like twitterdraw and let it pick a winner.

Contest idea: motorcycle trivia. 5 questions, each posted only after the previous was answered correctly. Those 5 people move on to the 6th sudden death question. The questions can be on anything motorcycle related. Would keep me from winning, though. ?

Contest idea: members are allowed one post. In that post, they mention the GTAMer that should get the tickets. Most mentions wins.

Contest idea: wheel of fortune/ hangman. You post a motorcycle related phrase, consisting only of dashes. And post the category. Then you repost adding a letter at a time. First member to correctly guess & post the completed phrase wins.

The person who can document the oldest purchase of a motorcycle (e.g. original bill of sale, registration, etc.).
 
Contest idea: Google search a random significant event in motorcycle history. Post the date. The member with the closest birthday to that date wins.

can post it on youtube

winner can be the one with the most likes/views or simply best content

for the people that are new or just getting into motorcycling - they can discuss in their video what attracted/intrigued them to 2 wheels
 
Contest Idea: Post a picture of your bike (that you own and ride), everyone votes on best picture. Winner gets the tix..
 
We could have the free tickets put into a silent auction. Where the proceeds go to a charity (Ride for Sight?) Bidding is open to GTAM, everyones a winner.. :D
