Sport bike saddlebags

I am looking to replace my CT saddlebags. I will do some longer trips with my girlfriend so I need as much space as possible. Hopefully I can find something that won't take up passenger space. The CT bags worked well with a passenger. Hard bags are out of the question since no one makes a frame for my F2. These are the biggest I found:

Firstgear Silverstone Saddlebags
http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/14/71/986/2731/ITEM/Firstgear-Silverstone-Saddlebags.aspx

Compressed: 18"L x 8½"W x 12"H / 1,836 CI (30L)
Expanded: 18"L x 11½"W x 12"H / 2,484 CI (40L)

Cortech Super 2.0

16.9”L x 6.7”W x 10.2”D (36 Liters per Bag)
16.9”L x 9.2”W x 10.2”D (Expanded)

Any one have either of them? Anything better out there?

No experience with the bags mentioned. I have Nelson Rigg CL 850 bags which hold quite a bit and have worked well for me on a V Strom. They are for sale. PM for more info if interested.

I have similar bags to those Cortech bags. They fit a lot of crap.

How about a Ventura rack for the tail? Or givi rear rack with a good size case? Would give you space, a back support for your partner, and also the benefit of hard luggage? Or do rear luggage racks also not exist for your bike? I couldn't find a rear/side rack for my bike but ended up sourcing it out of Thailand.

I found bits and pieces around ebay, but I am not too sure they would work. They seem to be from europe or australia where the F2 differed a bit. The years and model names don't exactly match. The renntech rack max load is 2.5 KG. Almost useless. The gevey needs passenger grab bars which never came to north america. I really don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on bits and pieces that might not work.

I did just fine with those CT bags. High end soft bags should be great. Plus I really hate how top boxes make the bike handle.

Not too familiar with your bike but all my research has left me with one choice for mine: SW-Motech Blaze Paniers. They have a basic quick release bracket system with textile bags. Cant get much better then that.

I've been eyeing a set on TwistedThrottle for a while. Sportbike specific and about the only thing I could fit on my SS. Just haven't pulled the trigger on them yet.

If you do before I do please let me know how the work for you. I and the wife just cant decide whether to get them for her Ninja 250 or my CBR RR.

I've considered getting these things instead of a backpack but then I'd have to take it off at every destination, anyway, or people would steal all my stuff. No? If I've gotta pull it off and carry it around anyway I'd rather have something that is designed to be carried.

I've got a set of the Cortech sport bags, side and tail, and a set of (I think) Motopack soft sport bags. The motopack bags are bigger and fit well on my Z750, and I used the cortech on my Ninja 250. I'd actually be happy to sell them off cheap (like $25-30 cheap) if anyone is interested. I changed bikes and have hard bags now.
