I'm watching MotoGP2 this afternoon and had made a real effort to stay away from the results all day.

Half way through they cut away to Nascar WTF????? Its not like it was important or anything, it was only the round that was going to decide the 2012 Championship. They didn't even say they would cut back so I went and looked up the results online.

Next year I'll be watching it on line. That was all I needed to push me over the edge and cut the cord. With Netflix, Ultraviolet and the BBC iPlayer plus some niche sites like MotoGP videopass, I really don't need Speed or Rogers.
 
Speed sucks. I download everything and watch the EuroSport feed.

They repeat on Tuesday, MotoGP, 2 and 3.

Only station that brings us AMA, so it's tough to hate them.

Nascar pays the bills, so they can afford to broadcast and lose money airing AMA races at midnight to us two wheel freaks.
 
yup, ticked me off too....I waited for them to switch back, but nope.

guess someone at the station is slacking....on another channel, they played mission impossible instead of gran torino.
 
Sadly, be happy it is what it is. It is rumoured to be changing to "Fox Sports 1", a generic sports channel
 
The motogp season pass is not cheap but:
you get all the practise ssessions
you get the pre and post race stuff
They have a no spoilers link
you can split the cost with a friend as they do not prevent the same user logging in more than once, I use my iPad and send the video to my appletv that is attached to my tv, excellent picture, no issues at all

speed tv coverage is terrible, some races they cut laps from the feed
 
Yesterday was a joke. Every weekend moto gp is on I avoid the results until tuesday so I can watch moto 3. What a joke having to wait that long. Then moto 2 gets cancelled half way through . Me and my gf were ****** lol. Apparently there are alot of angry viewers just check out twitter @SPEED. It be nice if tsn picks up the broadcast now that CPP bought 39% stake in Dorna
 
If I could figure out how to get the AMA races I would cancel the NAPCAR channel all together.
 
I like speed for some of their non racing stuff...
But for MX, the video quality SUCKS. On my 42" HDTV I can hardly tell riders apart.

The reason they switched to NASCAR on you is $$$$$$$. That's how they survive, NASCAR. Look at all their other NASCAR shows. And the NASCAR season is almost over, I think this coming weekend is the last race but I'm not sure... I don't follow it any more.
 
Also Speed ran a large banner on the bottom of the screen numerous times giving viewers at least 20 mins heads up that the Moto2 was going to be interuppted, but to be continued after the Nascar circle jerk.

I'm sure Wind Tunnel gets more viewers than anything moto related.

MotoGP posted the results online through Facebook so I didn't really feel like watching it anymore. I need to unlike them they always post the results through FB without any spoiler alert. At least when Lewis Hamilton does it he says spoiler alert!

Speed TV is useless for anything but NASCAR. For them, motorsports doesn't exist outside of America. All the random Lucas Oil series get more coverage than MotoGP, F1, and World Rally.

This is something that surprised me when I first got to Canada, No one watches WRC. Since coming here Ive pretty much accepted I have to download any sporting event I want to watch.
