Special kind of stupid

I don't normally visit the oh so popular "I Saw you" thread nor care to post about other riders and their actions but I thought Id make an exception and share what I witnessed today since this was a special kind of stupid.

It all started around Eglinton and Kipling when i saw 3 bikes make a left hand turn off a side street onto Eglinton. A simple left hand turn to most but these guys were in such a hurry that 2 lanes on Eglinton weren't wide enough to make this high speed turn (20-25km/h :lmao:) and one of them had to use the 3rd lane which was the bus stop.

I thought their luck was going to run out right there, but somehow Pedrosa, Marquez and Lorenzo all made it in one piece to the next set of lights.

Past the next set of lights (martin grove) these expert riders decided that at 7:30 pm with 3 lanes of heavy traffic they will at the last second dart from the far left lane to the far right while slamming on their brakes. What could possibly go wrong?

Causing a chain reaction everyone slammed on the brakes causing a nice ripple effect that went back 10-15 cars..but
once again with a bit of luck and precision riding they all made it safely across. Forget the near collisions and everyone behind you, now the 3 stooges dart for the 427 North ramp, with nothing in their sights except a pickup truck moving along at about the speed limit.

No worry, their high performance bikes, (appeared to be a couple sv's and a black 600) decided to overtake the pickup on the shoulder. A cloud of dust came up as two of them made the pass, the third guy possibly ran out of guts or steam and decided not to pass.

First guy made it up the ramp, the second one wasn't so lucky. Perhaps it was the cold tires, or all that garbage on the shoulder from the construction, or perhaps entering a ramp at 100+ was a poor choice.

Whatever it was luckily for the rider the guard rail ends a little bit before he went off, hopefully didn't fixate on one of those steel signs advising you to turn right.

So ya...

How did you witnessed all that? Were you following them?

Clearly they need bigger bikes, plus better watches, as L&L was on Thursday night, not Friday. lol

Also, I always make it a point when people tell me I must have a death wise to own & ride a bike, that there is a BIG difference between real riding up north (or more ideally, on a track) vs squids attempting to win Darwin awards on their way to Tim Horton's, Starbucks, or even worse some bar to go get hammered.

Lol this was a well told story! Had me wanting more.... Like a different ending! Whoops , is that bad?!? ;)

Dying is peaceful, it is only those around you who suffer. Just like being stupid.

Bike will probably be for sale as dropped by previous owner. And we will see a thread that some jackass in a pickup cut them off!

I think someone had a really bad day...
I went by the same ramp today and noticed the drag marks on the pavement and one of those wonderful signs knocked over. Talk about ****** luck if thats what the rider hit

I'll put money on them wearing t-shirts and back protectors.

I think wife beaters and back protectors. Because they think they will use the back protection to slide across the pavement when they go down, leaving the rest of their body completely unscathed.... Haha

Me too, but for an entirely different reason.

Really, then why are there so many stupid people out there???
Nature has clearly failed.

Nature needs a stronger work ethic. Less breaks, more work. I find my mind being blown almost every time I'm out anywhere involving a vehicle lately. Where did all the stupids come from

In her defense I would say we've always interfere with nature, not allowing her to wein the stupid. Offering redundant signs & redundant barriers.

But it takes a few hundred million years to get things right. I believe human life is just a few hundred thousand years old. In comparison to the age of the earth we're merely a blink in time

Sounds like almost every rider I see on the road in the GTA.
