Spam Volume

It seems my spam volume just went up from the old 6-8 a day to about triple that. I'm guessing my spam tree grew another branch. They get filtered to the spam file but I check before scrapping them because the odd good email gets sacked there too. No biggie but is there an average number a person gets?

I think I opened the door when I used my real email address to get some sales discounts. Now I use a scrapable Hotmail account for those.

Uhm and today it rained on me because I did not use my umbrella.

 
Can you unsubscribe? If you can unsubscribe it's not really spam. You should look at what buttons you have checked when you sign up for stuff. Usually advertising options are selected by default.

I think my address got on a list that got sold.
 
Ah.. thats tough luck. I use gmail as my proper email account (0 spam), and a hotmail account for stuff that seems sketchy. The hotmail account gets ruined with spam on a daily basis
