Has anybody ever had any experience with them?

I would like to buy a kit bike and build it for next summer. I'm what you would call a novice wrencher, however I'm eager to learn.

What do you guys think. Would it be doable for me? And moreover what do you know about the company or maybe you have had some experience with other kit bikes...

1) Once it is built what is the registration process?
2) It would likely have to be registrated as a homebuilt affecting its value

I'm not so concerned with value, but more so how reliable and reputable these kits are, and whether I as a novice would be capable of the build.

If it's not based on a production bike, you're going to have a hell of a time with the MTO/insurance. If you want to learn and have it via a kit with instructions.. check out any of the ones available that turn old japanese standards and cruisers into 'cafe'-esque or 'bobber'-esque thingies.

Or buy a piece of crap for a couple of hundred dollars and hack and chop to get the feel of the wrenches. Then decide on a plan.
