Come one come all……
After last months stellar round two its hard to believe that round three is upon us. July 8-10[SUP]th[/SUP] is the final time that SOAR will be at TMP in the 2011 season. It is also our 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] Annual Steve Shreeve Memorial Speed Challenge. Last year saw a great field for this fun pit bike race and some of the costumes were amazing. The 2011 version is stacking up to be even better. This is a fun event to honour our late friend and SOAR supporter who passed two years ago this month, so please come join in this free event. It will take place on Sunday at lunch time and is open to all who wish to participate. Anyone who witnessed the original race in 2010 will attest to how enjoyable this event is complete with a snack table and fitting prizes.
We are also planning a BBQ and refreshments for Saturday evening after the days events, Safety Bear has promised to supply some of his world famous chicken wings along with the normal BBQ fare. Sunny and Drew unfortunately will not be in attendance but word has it they are sending their normal fireworks display courtesy of Rocket Fireworks and will have some of the SOAR Family put on a show.
Canadian Tire Corp is donating a brand new pitbike that will be ridden by Steve’s close friend Sammy McAllister in the challenge and then it will be raffled off and head home with its new owner. All proceeds will go to the Canadian Tire Charities.
Don’t forget the SRA Sidecars that are making their first SOAR appearance of 2011.
Our good friend Pete Conn (the SOAR start grid official) will also be in attendance after his recent scare and heart surgery during round 2, make sure you stop by and say hi.
