SOAR Round 2 Paddock and camping

I'm curious about this coming weekends setup, after viewing the map for the SOAR pit area I'm wondering if there will be enough room based on how packed it seemed on the first weekend. I'll be showing up Saturday morning and wonder if i'll be able to get a spot to setup then. I also plan to pitch a tent to sleep overnight, what are the rules as far as this goes for location with the new layout. I noticed a designated camping area out front of the track, can this be used if the allotted area inside the track is full?

I am certain that GBM will be well big enough. We are using the stock car area they made the gate much larger. It used to barely pass my dualie Ron told me yesturday they have fit a motorhome now. There is a whole area between the reg building and timing that could fit hundreds of tents thats never used. I am sure you will be fine if concerned give the track a call. The GM is Ron I am sure he will have a good answer for you.

Hey Ken is it all gravel in the stock car area? I don't rem it being very smooth which is going to be a nightmare for putting the bike on stands n stuff.

Nope paved in the middle. People will have to be considerate. Park your trailers and trucks in the grass and gravel that should leave plenty of space. Guys with 35 food motorhomes pulling 20 foot trailers just shouldnt park sideways eating up paddock space. Its a considerate thing not a space thing there are many tracks that dont allow that kind of parking anytime. Generally we have lots of space so its not a problem. This round it will be.

Plan your exit strategy well. Coming in on Wednesday night will be easy. Getting out on Sunday will be interesting.

Everyone will come in the main gate as usual - a good a majority of you will be coming Fri and early Sat - which will put you into the park before most of the drag competitors, so the gate shouldn't be a big issue. On Sunday when you leave probably the best route if the pit area is still full of bikes/Harleys is to go out the Speedway(South) entrance - that way it is smooth sailing no bikes to try and get around etc.
Also just an FYI - if you have people coming on Sat or Sun just for the day (by car) - they will have to park in the parking lot by the main entrance and walk in from there. Only bikes are allowed into the pit area unless the car is the tow rig. Also for this event Ken is correct there will be no sideways parking of trailers/motorhomes - to maximize the space alloted all parking will be vertical to the fence line and grass pit area. for those parking on the side with the grass - pulling your tow rig etc onto the grass and then having just your pop-up etc on the asphalt - should allow us to add a row of pit spaces down the centre - even with the vertical parking along the fence line.
The speedway pit area is gravel on both sides of the 10ft wide paved road down the centre - so you can park your trailers etc on the gravel and still have your bike sit on the paved road.
