I would assume it is his personal firearm as the article said it is legal to shoot someone in self defense in Florida.
 
I just can't see where Zimmerman was in ANY danger at any point. This was murder not self defense and those ****tards really need to put a brake on their attitude.

Based on the presented facts, I'd hope he gets nailed to the cross. I'll wait for the results of the official investigation. Not getting my hopes up considering it's Florida.
 
What was the guy doing in a gated community? It didn't say anything about Zimmerman asking or being told Trayvon lived there.

Surely you are not suggesting that a non-profit organization with a specific mandate should be expected to act outside of that mandate in order to maintain credibility.

Unicef doesn't deal with enviromental issues
MADD doesn't deal with poverty issues
Greenpeace doesn't deal with Race issues.

Visiting a friend? I've certainly visited people in gated communities (without getting shot, unlike that poor kid).
 
I certainly like the stand your ground law vs the Canadian you must run away like a little girl from your own house if there is an intruder law.
