1994 Shadow 600 VLX

What damage am i looking at?

Too many variables (i.e.: address) so it's hard to tell.

However, when I started riding @ 31M I can tell you the following from south Etobicoke:

2008 CBR125 - $450/year - SF
2011 CBR250 - $560/year - SF
2013 CB500F - $630/year - TD MELOCHE -

TD were the cheapest after the first few years. At first they were most expensive. I have the EIT and Ryerson Alumni discounts. Just wrote the PE Ethics exam to keep my discount!

I wouldn't worry too much. Your age, g experience, clean record and choice of bike should all ensure the quotes aren't too out there.

Call and get a quote from TD, AllState, Intact, etc.

I am with TD as well, after 4 years of motorcycle insurance, TD still cheapest for me. The quote from their website is very close to what they actually offered me, don't forget to look for group discount is if it applies (UofT, Seneca College, etc)

You will be okay with that bike. I would guess around $1000 for liability only.

Tend to agree. Realistic first bike (albeit slightly Over 600cc which seems to be the magic barrier, but close enough it might not hurt that much) and a clean record with some G experience and an M2 before you plan to insure it.

Over 25 will help a ton as well.

Dont expect it it to be cheap, but I wouldn't fear it's going to be as shocking as some stories you've likely read here as well. :)
