Hey does anybody have any thoughts on installing sliders on my new bike? I'm a new rider and just bought my bike. It was mentioned that I should consider having them installed but I had never heard of this before.

sliders for me is a must, i personally think they look pretty bad *** depending on the bike, and if you do drop it then you wont have to worry as much about damaging your fairing's. It also gives me some piece of mind that i am somewhat protected if i were to drop it by accident. BTW what bike did u pick up?

yeah that's what was discussed because I'm a new rider. I bought a 2012 cbr 250. Did you install uncut ones?

haveing sliders is a good thing just to have just in case you never now you are a new rider and there is he fact the u just maybe fall at least once cuss it happens to the best of use better safe then sorry

It's a good idea.

no cut sliders are garbage don't buy
Them
It's obvious that cut sliders will work better since they are mounted directly to the frame of the bike.
However, not all no cut sliders are garbage. I crashed on LSL no cut sliders and the only thing I had to replace was the puck.
No damage to the engine/casing/bracket.

CBR250's are girl's bikes, don't buy them. (Unless you're a girl)

I agreed with you until you got to this line. Now you just sound like a sexist squid (unless you're joking).

You know the main reason for the 125's/250's are for girls that want to get into riding, right?
Real men ride supersports.

Anyways, back on topic, there's nothing wrong with no cut sliders if they're a reputable name brand.

Real men drive super cars, too, right?

As long as you're not driving your mom's Saab, it's all good! ;)

Saabs are nice. Much faster and better handling than most cars.

I guess the no cuts have there pros n cons like you said It does depend on the design. But if you want something strong and dependable I would buy the ones that bolt to the frame much stronger and to me it, does look better. if you decide to buy the ones that bolt into the frame look into woodcraft sliders very durable. and when looking for sliders stay away from cheap ones invest some money into it, its worth it.

I was only **** disturbing man, it was a slow day at work.
Nothing wrong with the lower CC bikes, I was following two kids, 13 & 15 year olds that ride 125/250 at Shannonville this year trying to learn the lines. They're great bikes... For kids and chicks. LOL j/k

Honestly, get them if you're a new rider. It will give you a bit more confidence when practicing low turns, because at worst if you drop you'll only scrape your mirrors / handles + the slider. Increases your credibility IMO :)

Usually any tail plastics get messed up, too, unless you have additional protection.

The only "no-cut" sliders I see for my 06 600RR are from Kapsco. Anyone here ever used their stuff?
