Came off a Jeep setup, that used an EMC adapter. I did not need on VStar and Documentation states anti flicker is built-in.
Can hook up a battery pack to test both low and high beams. Google shows installs on Harley and other bikes with 7" headlamps. 2007 VStar was a direct plug and play replacement.
