Silly Question-Coffee Cup Holder

I bought some velcro water bottle holders from MEC and they fit nicely over the front turn signals on my V65 Magna.
Couldn't drink and ride, but I could pick up a couple of coffees from Tim's and we'd enjoy them when I reached my destination.

It's kind of like smoking and riding - Best done at a standstill - especially when you are holding something boiling hot near your nether regions.

i have a few ram mounts on my bike. They are all well made and work great.

gpscity is the best place ive found. 3 times i have bought from them and each time, i got it in the mail the next day.

I have a fine screw-top steel double-wall cup, that I bought at Cayne's in Thornhill.
This keeps my coffee hot for a couple of hours, but I usually drink it before that.

I made a cup-holder from another steel cup and a plastic hose-mender kit, 3/4-inch.
The holder is on my handlebar, to the right of the clutch lever, and it does not pivot.

I need calm traffic conditions to use it, because the process is:
1. unscrew the lid about half a turn.
2. release the little bungee cord holding the cup.
3. pick up cup and drink.
4. fasten bungee.
5. screw down lid.

This is just one of the reasons that a 3/4-coverage helmet is the right helmet for me.

(The bull-headed jerk who said "That is the stupidest reason ever for
choosing the WRONG helmet!!!" can hold his ill-mannered tongue here.)

Imagine how many times you have wanted hot coffee while riding.
Well, I did that for a while, and now I have hot coffee very handy.

You can get one at radioworld (Steeles & 400).

Contigo travel mugs from Costco have a totally watertight seal. I can throw one full of coffee in my bag and it doesn't leak. Stays hot for a long time too.

Awesome! So clever. Of course you'll understand though, if I ever see a post on here from you ranting about distracted cagers on cell phones or drinking coffee...I'm going to have to round up a posse to hunt you down

So jealous of you guys, too bad I have no space on my handlebar left

I just mounted one on the bottom of the passenger foot peg to carry my coffee to work in the morning. Can't drink it obviously but it gets the job done and if any spills it just dumps on the ground instead of all over my fairings.

The Ram self leveling cup holders work good within limits. They'll hold your coffee spill free rounding corners on your way to work, but that double+double is long gone if you happen to crash on streetcar tracks.

Think they'd keep a coffee spill-free doing hard corners in a car (no lean or maybe some lean AWAY from the corner). I need to come up with something for my 944 and my SAAB could use a few more places for drinks as well (instead of just one).
