Hi,
I'd like your help to make a decision. I don't know much about aftermarket exhausts. I ordered a new M4 stainless steel bolt-on pipe from Kneedraggers/Motosports for my 98 ZX-9R. Only for the sound, to get a deeper meaner sound. I was ashamed when it sounded like a scooter compared to an Aprilia. So I got this pipe. It arrived yesterday and I realized it's been used as you can see from the pics. It was also missing the hanger strap and pad. Called the manufacturer and they've sent the missing parts at no charge. Good on M4!!!! Kneedragers agreed it was used based on the pictures and dropped the price from $320 to $220. So here are my two questions:
1. I figure might as well keep it, decent price. But if you look at the exhaust just below the "UP" mark you'll notice the metal opens up a little. Kneedraggers says it happens, no issue. Just wanna check with you guys this isn't an issue.
2. Is it a decent deal? Should I keep it? Or cash in a return and get something else? I don't want to spend more than $300-400. Can't find nothing interesting on eBay for the ZX9R. In fact M4 told me I was lucky to find this pipe.
