Should I be worried about my bike?

My cousin just bought his first motorcycle, and while it has no theft insurance on it for a week I offered to let him keep it in my garage.

Unfortunately however, my zx6r has been sitting out in the rain and snow for the past 4-5 days

Is there any reason I should be worried about keeping my bike outside in the rain/snow for prolonged periods of time. (few days in a row)

Are there any problems or issues that may arise as a result?

Thank you

Damage comes from temperature fluctuations and the resulting condensation. Over a period of a few days you won't notice any effect but it will age a little quicker. Over the period of a winter it can cause some pretty good damage.

I am no expert. I don't even own a motorcycle - yet, but I would suggest that it is very unlikely anything bad can occur over just a few days. It's just sitting there. You're not riding it, so you're not kickin' up dirt and salt everywhere. I imagine the rotors will get a nice thing coat of rust, so just be mindful of that when you first go to use the brakes.

Throw a cover over it and you're fine. Tuck it in a corner if you can, hope a big gust doesn't decide to use the cover as a wind sail :p

Same as above... also make sure she is on solid ground, heard of a few that have been blown over recently (seriously) with the wind...

Sigh. A cover can make things better or worse. It can act like greenhouse to increase the temperature fluctuation, it will trap more moisture than an uncovered bike, but then it will protect the bike from bird dropings, UV light etc...

Personally I would aim to leave it uncovered in a shaded are, preferably with a canopy overhead.

The Brits have weather like this in the winter and its no big deal.

Tires as well?

of course....... seat and tires are a must. The more slip you can give them the better. this way you don't have to fight in a corner to get yourself or the bike to lean......

(and i'm jokeing of course)!!!

Never put anything on your tires.
