I love it! Light, 160hp and 120 ft lbs at the rear all day...er..charge rather. Still as a track bike it would be amazing. Love that electric whine it make too!
I wonder how sensitive the throttle is. Considering there is no clutching or shifting, that electric motor has to go through quite the range of RPM. It's a sweet looking bike tho.
That's an interesting idea. I'm sure it would be trivial for them to mimic the effect a transmission has via software. To be honest the thought I've moving to an electric bike like this is pretty exciting, but I would definitely miss shifting gears.
Not sure if it's the same bike I saw on Leno but he test rode one that had a transmission fitted to it.
As for throttle control, I've read that electric vehicles require software tuning to deliver the torque gradually otherwise too much torque gets delivered too quickly making the vehicle undrivable.
