Anyone know somewhere online or GTA that has the Shoei RF-1100 for $400 or under ? Would consider used one for the right price in size large provided no drops or marks

I think that you may discover that Shoei prevents authorized US dealers from shipping into Canada.

Don't think so....there have been Shoei deals in the past from US sources that had no problem shipping to Canada.

May be a newer policy....I had recently shopped stateside for an RF-1100 and got that response from 2 or 3 retailers. Ended up getting it at Kahuna.

Recently a buddy was looking for one and picked it up at Kahuna (on sale). It was the best price in Canada and close enough to US pricing that bringing it over the border wasnt worthwhile.

I ordered a qwest from the states a month ago and had no issues getting it

Kahuna sells Quest for $399 and RF1100 for $499, in gloss black colour.
Paint costs more.
Right now they have a sale on painted RF1100 (Hadron I believe) for $499, good deal if you like the graphics...
While quantities last.

I bought mine from riders choice for $399.99:

If you want graphics you will have to pay more but after a lot of searching earlier this year, this was the cheapest place to get an rf-1100 in the GTA. Just make sure you mention the price you saw on their website.

Why shop online? GP Bikes has the :
GP bikes will probably also price match internet retailers - they have price matched a helmet me in the past.

I was also up at Asselstine's in Blackstock (just N of Bowmanville) yesterday and they had some great deals on helmets - you might want to give them a try. They have Shoei helmets as well, but I didnt check out the prices on those.
For example:
  • Bell Star Hess Limited Edition (size m) for $299.99
  • Bell Star Cerwinskle Ltd.Edition (size m) for $299
  • Icon Domain 2 Mechanica Chrome (size xl) for $299.99
  • Also saw some HJC fancy paint job helmets for $95 and good prices on the Scorpions
Floyd (the owner) is a great guy to deal with as well. www.asselstines.com

+1 on RidersDiscount. I got my RF1100 from them last year. It's an awesome helmet.

Sad to say I tried them on (replacing my RF1000 which I crashed) at local shops to confirm sizing and then ordered from RD. If the manufacturers/distributors/retailers don't get their heads around the Canadian vs US pricing, this will continue and unfortunately local dealers will suffer.

If it was $50 difference all in, I'd buy locally. But when you have it shipped USPS, and you have a chance (pretty good chance) of not even paying the taxes because Revenue Canada didn't screen it or read the value correctly... ****... how do you say no?

That Monolith at GP Bikes is a clearance marked down from the MSRP of $680. At RidersDiscount the graphic RF1100's are $472.

Some sellers just simply ignore the rule book that and choose to **** over the local merchants in Canada. You can find them on eBay easier lol

I tried getting a Corsair V last winter, but ridersdiscount didn't sell it to me.

Mail forwarding could still save some money tho.

Royal in Guelph had mine for $400 end of season last year during the tent sale. No tax then either, so $400 carry out the store.

I was in there in the Spring and they had the same one for the sale price (other colours $500+). Its the Monolith TC-5 (still showing on the shoei site).
