Shoei RF-1100 Helmets on sale at GP Bikes

the RF-1100 really went downhill in the graphics department....Do they release new designs every year?

Not really, I think the RF 1100 has better graphics than the x-12 (which is double the price, part of the reason I went with a solid black) I wouldn't mind picking an Rf-1100 at that price.

shoei must have a replacement for the rf1100 coming soon if not already. Have seen these marked down at a few places now.

Inglis in London has them for 400 as well.

With several graphic schemes.

Firestrike, Warlock and the Hadron at least. I think a few others but i forget which.

They are 2010 models that are getting cleared out. The only difference for the new ones will be graphics, the RF1100 will likely be in production for 3-4 years.

Glad to hear..I love my RF-1000 Crest so much I was thinking of just getting a solid and getting it painted. I'm not a big fan of the typical skulls, flames and other cheesy stuff like the crazy lines and riptide like designs similar to the pictures above. I like more Japanese (minus the dragons) and medieval oriented designs.

Do you know if they had any XXS in stock? Only helmet that has my GFs size and that's a great price.

I was just there this morning, picked up the last black/grey Firestrike in S. There were no red Firestrike in S, only a Yellow. There's also the Sylvan and I think the Seilon (not 100% positive) colour schemes. Conqueror, Enigma and possibly Strife were not on sale, and I didn't see any non-graphic RF1100s marked down. Tons of M, L, XL in all on-sale schemes.

Yes, I saw some XXS I think in the Sylvan scheme.

I just got my XXS RF-1100 for $399 last weekend! great deal!!

Shoei only have XXS in Sylvan scheme. So i didn't have much choice. I got the white and gold.

They actually have it in a lot of the schemes, it's just that most places don't stock the XXS. We managed to find a solid in XXS, but it was a display model and very worn in from people trying it on.
 
But i checked the catalog of Shoei.
I was willing to order if they don't have it on stock.
The only scheme has XXS is Syvlan or the Solid colours.
and Solid is not even on sale. it's cheaper to buy graphic from them right now.

My mistake, I only checked the Solid and Sylvan, so I assumed the whole RF line had XXS.
 
After trying botht he Qwest and the RF, there is no way under the sun I would choose the RF over the Qwest. The Qwest is less money, more comfy, quieter, and I experienced less buffetting with it as well.

The RF-1100 I purchased in spring '10 to replace my '07 RF-1000 has been a disapointment while riding my BMW K1200S (I'm 5'-10", 32" inseam). It's noticeably noisier in summer conditions - a lot noiseir and leaks a lot of cold air through the sides of the visor spring and fall, the forhead vents whistle at any time if I lift my head a bit at 'highway speads' and does not ventillat any better. I always use earplugs.YMMV

Went to check these out at GPBikes over the weekend and they were only marked down to 479. Was very disappointed.

Anyone know if they're on sale anywhere else?
