Shinko 011 for an R6?

I was recommended this tires by a shop for $280...plus $100 installed.

I intend to use my bike for some commuting, street riding mostly and some regular twisties.

I may also want to goto a track next year, perhaps a couple times.

Any thoughts, I'm pretty new to tires and supersports and would appreciate any feedback.

PS. I was previously considering getting tires from the states as I have a parcel pickup place down there and will be there in Sept, Oct and Nov.

You can get set of Bridgestone BT-016's for approx. the same price (maybe a little more). Good street tire and decent all-around track tire. They're not the best race tire out there but they're good enough if you're just starting out and doing green-group speeds.

I have no experience with Sinko because I've been happy with Bridgestone and Dunlop. I plan to give Pirelli a try for my next set.

I am planning on some advanced riding courses next year and although I won't be racing, I am looking for a tire that can keep up with the progression I make.

I also am looking for durability as well, since my budget for motorcycle stuff has been reduced lately (now I have a 7 month old son).
