Here are quotes i got from state farm
I am currently 23 years old. hold a M1 license and has over 6+ years of driving experience

for $1,000,000 liability only insurance
250cc bike $1600/year
450cc bike $2300/year
600cc bike $3600//year

They said you dont need to have insurance for the full year
they have pro-rated each month, if i remember correctly, it goes like this ( i have to check with the numbers again...these are just estimates)

FEB 2%
MAR 2%
APR 6%
MAY 8%
JUN 16%
JUL 16%
AUG 16%
SEP 12%
NOV 6%
DEC 2%

So you are saying I can choose which months I can be insured? I don't ever recall statefarm allowing this.

Which broker did you contact? Did you add a car to the policy?
 
according to the broker thats what she told me. i dont have have to insure the full year.

I was told by statefarm I do need it all year and they don't pro-rate it. Mines 1500 for a cbr600rr. Yours are steep.
 
what they mean when they tell you that about the monthly thing is that they have taken into account the winter months and thats how they work out the premium they give you one set rate that you pay all year but that set rate is lower because they dont count the winter months really cause you wont be driving then but your bike is insured all year and you are paying all year
 
^nope, the agent specifically told me i can cancel the policy any time with no cancelation or hidden fees. they just have premium for the summer months, and i dont need to insure/pay all year
