Saturday Open Practice from 5:30 until Dark.

Schedule Shannonville Supermoto Event June 17th

7:30 - 8:30 – Registration
7:30 – 8:45 – Technical Inspection
8:45 – Riders meeting (Attendance Mandatory)

Practice - Lap times will be used to set the grids for the heat races

9:00 – 9:10 – Blue Group (Sportsman - Pavement Only)
9:10 – 9:30 - Yellow Group
9:30 – 9:50 – Red Group
9:50 – 10:10 – Yellow Group
10:10 – 10:30 – Red Group

10:45 – Qualifying 5 Lap Heat Races for all classes

12:30 – 1:15 – Lunch

1:15 – Final Races (8 laps for all classes. SM1 and Pro will run 2 motos for their finals and will be scored like motocross)

Points System

SM1 and Pro will be a 2 moto format. In the case of a tie in points the rider with the higher finish in the second moto will have the higher overall score.

That was awesome racing!!!

In one of the races near the end of the day, there was a guy FLYING over the first jump. It looked phenomenal...
but is that the fastest way through that section? (serious noob question).

Is it better to sacrifice the first straight for the sake of the 'hairpin' (is that what it's called?) and the second straight?

I also noticed no one wanted to take the outside bank on the hairpin. Is there not enough structure/traction to take the outside? It looked a little sketchy, but is coming to a near stop for the inside line the only way through?
