BMW Motorrad's Dynamic ESA Suspension Could Be Delayed For Months

BMW Motorrad is facing a supply bottleneck due to the historic flooding in western Germany earlier in 2021, which hit a suspension supplier particularly hard.

Earlier on this year BMW experienced faulty brake caliper issues from one of its suppliers that resulted in a Stop Sale. Now one of its factories in western Germany has been hard hit by flooding (over 140 people have died in July), and the ESA suspension system production has been affected.

Word is that production on MY2022 motorcycles will be focused primarily on turning out models like the R1250GS.

Very sad to hear about the tragedy. But kinda glad we picked up my wife's RS when we did.
 
BMW's ESA system isn't as good as many others similar system such as Ducati's Skyhook. Be nice if they'd swap to another good system instead (I dunno, like maybe the Ohlins active setup on the new Pikes Peak Multistrada comes to mind).

we'll start seeing more base models with accurate pricing?
