As the above title says.

Upgraded from a Garmin Virb Basic and a Hero 4. So many options. Wow.

Please and thanks.

not familiar with the options but there is some baseline suggestions.

is this for saving action shots for personal use, saftey or youtube?

i'd say;
1080p@60 fps
any image stabilization features: on
super wide view, etc: on (personal preference)
time stamp/date: on (personal preference)
loop recording (will overwrite old files when memory card is full): on (personal preference)

the lower you make the resolution the more battery life you'll squeeze from it.

Thank you, "Evoex" Appreciated.

I am mainly using it for, "Just in case" Insurance reasons. Not to admire myself. Not into selfies. Or Me, me, me.

Used it on a few occasions when I have been told I ran a red light. Not true. Don`t run red lights. Not tempted. Watching my 6, of course.

Did not get white hair (Blonde, really. Lol) taking chances. Younger days of course. Young and stupid. Did everything.

I use 1080p60 (in Wide or SuperView) even though my Hero5 Session is capable of higher framerates and 4K. That's more than enough for "just in case" insurance purposes and the file sizes are more manageable.

Then above settings should be more then adequate.

Thank you all for your help.
I think I am not going to keep this.
Battery life is useless. 1 hour. Changed settings. Made very little or no difference.
When I open to see the files. I get a load of useless files, LRV and THM. Seems like too much work to keep.
Not sure if it is me or what but the videos are jittery. Not even close to smooth.
The other problem I seem to be having is to start it. I have to take the battery out before it ill start up.

Settings are 2.7k 4.3 30 W Hypersmooth, Bit rate high.

i didn't want to crap all over your thread but yeah, swapping batteries every 1-2 hours got me fed up real quick (not a go pro but a cheaper competition product).

I would not hesitate to recommend what i currently rock - Drift Ghost X.

It comes standard with 5 hour battery life and you can get an upgraded pack to 8 hours i believe. The only thing that may be a sticking point for some people is you'd have to mount it on the side of your lid (or top?), if not the bike. It wasn't a problem for me as i don't mind the partial view loss to begin with and i just spent the time testing the location before committing to the adhesive. This helped to remove as much of the helmet as possible.

sample video of my current setup.

What's neat is that based on the angle of the mount and the fact that you can rotate the lens around at the front you an always find a setup for a nice flat landscape. Did i mention it's only $150?

Your computer may be having trouble playing back the 2.7K files. How old is it?

That's a good point. Thanks.
Laptop is 6 years , perhaps will try on the desktop which is only 4 months old.
Desktop says a need a codec. Worth paying 99c ? Will that make it work?

That's a much better set up. Thanks. Looking into that right now.

any codec you need should be free.

Looks like I will be going for the Drift camera. Good reviews. Thanks "Evoex"
Back to Visions tomorrow get my money back.

"Matt Rain" Connected the Go Pro to my Samsung Tablet. Video is perfect. Still like the recommendation by "Evoex" Great price and it does all I need it to do.
