Hello ,

My name is
Elspeth , I am emailing you regarding the 2009 Kawasaki Ninja that I have for sale. I sell at this price ( US$2,200.00 )because i just finished the divorce with my husband. When the divorce has finished i received this bike. Now as a women i don't need. This bike is in excellent working conditions, no scratches, flaws or any kind of damage, slightly used in 100% working and looking conditions and comes with a clear title, 3 months transferable warranty. From the beginning you have to know that for the payment I request ONLY secure pay, I prefer the payment to be done using eBay services. We will use a safe payment method because I am affiliated at eBay and I have a purchase protection account. The final price that I want for this bike is US$2,200.00 including shipping and handling. You will receive with the bike : keys, title, all the receipts that I have from it, owner's manual, service manual, and also a sale receipt signed at a legal attorney stating that I'm selling you this bike .Everything has been paid for (inspections, shipping, staff, insurance, etc.) so you won't have to pay for anything else . If we reach an agreement, the bike will be delivered directly to your address.
When it arrives, you must have your ID ( preferably 2 forms of identification ) and sign for receiving.
If you are interested in buying it please provide me your Full Name, Address and Phone Number so I can initiate the deal through eBay .

I will wait your answer(if you are interested to buy) very soon!!

Thank you and have a nice day
Elspeth Aubery

I thought it was funny that my junk mail was full of those scam emails from Libya, Syria, Congo, Nigeria with some widow, sister, Wife or Daughter of a rich man who wanted to transfer millions of $$ into my account to transfer it somewhere else and pay me some crazy amount because She "trusts" me and no one else is trustworthy. And that "Transaction" would ofcourse require my personal info, including my account number. But Motorcycle one is just unreal. Do people actually think they can pull off something like that? I suppose they have been successful in some attempts hence the reoccurrence.

I believe it was an email on Kijiji or Kijiji.

Anyone else who would like to share their story?
.

This is what i emailed her just now

"Hi,

Yours Sincerely
Freak"

Lets see what happens :p

They wouldn't continue to do it unless they were successful some times. He got all the way through his pitch and close before you caught onto it. They're success rates are probably similar to many direct marketing approaches. These guys probably dupe someone for every 300 people they talk to.

I had one like this, it was a 2010 cbr 600 for 2800, i emailed and asked to call. The lady said the bike was in the states, she was blind, and unable to talk. so this would all be done through ebay motors.

I ask to see the bike i would fly down, she never responded.

Yeah i suppose the best way to deal with it is to call their bluff!

I just had a guy tell me the bike was out in Prince George, BC .. i responded and told him my brother was a cop out there and he could see the bike in an hour.

Funny, no response.

I had one where the seller was on an oilrig and could we do everything over e-mail....I replied that I was on a boat and would stop off to see him and pay in cash.

Ooooooo I love these games! Play along as long as you can!

When I was selling my bike a lady from a ship somewhere in the Atlantic on an expedition was buying it for her son so I had to email her my bank info so she could send me the money! LoL

Unfortunately they do get someone for every X people that they send to...

I will send you my dl number but i must first ensure you are a trustworthy person.

In order to gain my trust, I require a picture of you with a shoe on your head, drinking from a glass of orange juice while holding a sign that says "GTAM" (that is my nickname).

I am anxiously awaiting your response so we can move forward with this transaction.
