Seeing this bike tonight...thoughts??

Overpriced and has candle-powered turn signals

i know someone who purchased a bike exactly like that last summer. '03 cbr600RR in black/red. around 30000km. well maintained and all stock. just a few scratches here and there. which is reasonable for a 12yrs old bike. but he bought it for $3700. so something with 5500 non stock is a little high, even with low km. just my $0.02

I would not be the least concerned about the age of the bike (Honda) and it has extremely low KMs.
Price is your call, worth what somebody is willing to pay

Personal preference, but "integrated brake / turn signals" make me cringe. Barely visible during the day

Looks clean and that's low km but the price seems a little "high just in time for spring" ;)
You should be able to get a newer version for that money.

+ age is not a concern. I wouldn't buy it for that price though. I would for about mid 3s.
Low mileage means it's been sitting a lot, not the best thing unless stored properly. ...or it went around the clock. My '96 has around 3k on the clock. ;)

Thanks guys, I ended up passing on it...

Now the hunt is still on. (anyone got a 600SS for sale? :) )

I'm sorry, that price is freaking crazy.
I almost jumped out of my chair when I saw that price.
That would be a good price for a bike with less than 1,000 km on it.......Maybe.

It is a little high. I paid $5600 for my 2007 600RR with 26K on Monday. I know the KMs are low but still an older bike.

Good luck!

Price seems a little high to me...your deal though ;)

agreed.

low kms on this too.. probably ridden to Timmies and back by all the owners.. ;-)

I bought my K7 gsxr for 6k 3 years ago. Think of all the small improvements that are made over the span of 12 years. Even if the majority of the bike is the same, it adds up. There's plenty of 09+ bikes in the 5500-6500 range.

The bike is nice, only 14,500 kms. The turn signals can be fixed for little money, the bike has new tires. The head bearing replacement under 14K tell me the bike sits a lot.
Nice bike, but not $5500. Closer to $4200.
As for too old, no. There are people riding 30 year old bikes every day.
